St. Paul the Apostle Early Childhood Center is seeking a director to oversee the daily operations of the school's summer care program. This is a seasonal, part-time position working with students K-8th grade. We are looking for someone who will create a nurturing learning environment and has a passion for hands-on activities and inquiry-led learning. The director will be responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences in summer care that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered, safe, and healthy learning environment. We are looking for someone who will collaborate with school leadership, staff, and families to create a program that reflects and supports the holistic development of each child. This is a grant-funded position.Schedule:
- Training start date June 1st (or before if available)
- Starting with students June 8th
- Monday
- Thursday
- 7:30am-5:30pm
- Last day of summer care August 13th
Compensation:
- $22.
Benefits:
- Employees will earn 1 hour of PTO for every 30 hours worked ○ Planned breaks: Friday's off in the summer, 1 week 4th of July

- Bachelor's Degree in education, child development, or related field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Proficient usage and integration of technology in the classroom setting
- Commitment to lifelong learning as demonstrated by attendance at seminars, in-services, and training
- Commitment to upholding and modeling the values and teachings of the Catholic Church
- CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training)
- Must have or willing to take Virtus
