Full Job Description Job Description:

St. Paul the Apostle Early Childhood Center is seeking a director to oversee the daily operations of the schools summer care program. This is a seasonal, part-time position working with students K-8th grade. We are looking for someone who will create a nurturing learning environment and has a passion for hands-on activities and inquiry-led learning. The director will be responsible for planning and implementing learning experiences in summer care that advance the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of our children within a Christ-centered, safe, and healthy learning environment. We are looking for someone who will collaborate with school leadership, staff, and families to create a program that reflects and supports the holistic development of each child. This is a grant-funded position.

Schedule:

• Training start date June 1st (or before if available)
• Starting with students June 8th
• Monday Thursday
• 7:30am-5:30pm
• Last day of summer care August 13th

Compensation:

• $22.

00 per hour

Benefits:

• Employees will earn 1 hour of PTO for every 30 hours worked Planned breaks: Fridays off in the summer, 1 week 4th of July

• Bachelors Degree in education, child development, or related field-Minimum of 1 year of experience working with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting-Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred-Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies-Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills-Proficient usage and integration of technology in the classroom setting-Commitment to lifelong learning as demonstrated by attendance at seminars, in-services, and training-Commitment to upholding and modeling the values and teachings of the Catholic Church-CPR and First Aid Certified or willingness to be trained (employer will pay for training•Must have or willing to take Virtus Protecting Gods Children TrainingPlease send electronic letters of interest and resumes, along with an employment application (https://dioceseofgrandrapids.
