This role serves as the Program Director of Record with LARA and ensures full compliance with Michigan licensing requirements while leading a safe, high-quality, and Christian-centered environment for children, families, and staff. Key Responsibilities Serve as Program Director of Record with LARA (per Rule
R 400.8113
) Ensure full compliance with all Michigan licensing standards, reporting, and inspections Oversee daily operations, including staffing, classroom ratios, and scheduling Supervise, coach, and support staff to maintain a healthy and professional culture Lead hiring and onboarding in partnership with the Executive Pastor Oversee curriculum implementation, classroom quality, and child development outcomes Ensure health, safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently upheld Maintain accurate records and prepare for licensing visits and audits Communicate clearly and professionally with families, staff, and church leadership Support enrollment growth, family retention, and a welcoming environment Align all operations with the mission and values of Williams Lake Church Required Qualifications Meets Michigan Program Director qualifications under Rule R 400.8113, including: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, or CDA with experience, or other qualifying pathway Minimum of 2 semester hours or 3 CEUs in child care administration Minimum age of 21 Current background check, CPR/First Aid certification, and required state trainings Minimum 5 years of experience as a Center Director in a licensed early childhood program Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Professes a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (born-again believer) Willing to become a member of Williams Lake Church and actively participate in the life of the church Agreement with Williams Lake Church Statement of Faith and mission Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of experience as a Center Director Proven track record of staff leadership, enrollment growth, and operational excellence Experience managing budgets and financial performance Details Full-time, year-round position Competitive pay based on credentials and experience Christian learning environment Success Measures (KPIs) Christian Education forChildren:
