Job Summary:
The Early Childhood Preschool Instructional Coach will serve as a mentor, support, and coach for teaching teams supporting Preschool programming in GSRP and ECSE classrooms.
Essential Job Functions:
Use the Practice-Based Coaching (PBC) framework to support targeted classrooms in achieving quality improvement goals Collaboratively coach teaching teams to support all PreK-aged learners through the implementation of innovative, research-based, and developmentally appropriate strategies. Conduct program quality assessments (e.g., CLASS) in GSRP classrooms and co-develop CLASS continuous improvement plans with teaching teams. Create collaborative relationships to provide monthly PBC support including targeted observation, reflection and feedback, shared goal writing, and action planning. Support GSRP classrooms through regular monitoring to ensure compliance with program policies and requirements. Develop and facilitate professional learning and intervention materials to support teaching teams and child-level needs through the MTSS and data review process. Analyze and synthesize data (e.g., IEPs, SmartTeach, LRE rubric, parent reporting, CLASS, TPOT, observations) to improve child and classroom outcomes. Coach teaching teams on implementing child-specific accommodations and interventions across developmental domains (cognitive, motor, literacy, math, social-emotional, language). Support strong classroom SEL (social-emotional learning) and behavior management practices. Consult and collaborate with the Early Childhood PreK Instructional Coach team to provide aligned and cohesive support across OAISD programs. Other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities and Duties Serve as an advocate for high-quality PreK programming across OAISD, promoting inclusive opportunities for all children. Provide varied coaching strategies tailored to individual staff and team needs. Participate in professional learning opportunities including but not limited to
PBC, CLASS, SEEDS
Literacy Framework, TPOT, and ASQ. Develop and facilitate professional learning and intervention information and materials as needed to support teaching teams and individual children through MTSS and data review processes. Collaborate with local teachers, administrators, and staff to maintain and enhance program quality. Attend local, statewide, and national professional learning events as appropriate. Model and demonstrate effective early childhood instructional practices, promoting both foundational and advanced knowledge and skills.
Education and Experience:
A Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Masters in Early Childhood Special Education or equivalent. 5 or more years relevant job experience in early childhood education. Both Special Education and General Education experience are preferred. Special Education endorsement is preferred

Compensation and Employment Details:
Salary:
$60,480-$75,600 Depending on qualifications
Schedule:
195 days, Full-time. This position operates primarily during the traditional school year plus additional days outside of the traditional school-year.
