GENERAL STAFF REQUIREMENT

Reporting to the Director or Programs, the CDC Director will provide overall leadership and management for the Child Development Center. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements, maintaining high-quality early childhood education, supervising staff across all classrooms, and fostering a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children from infancy through school age. The CDC Director will also serve as the primary liaison with families, promoting strong partnerships and supporting child growth and well-being. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Daily Operations- Oversee day-to-day operations of the childcare center
- Ensure proper staffing, schedules, and classroom coverage
- Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations, health, and safety standards
- Supervise use and safety of classrooms, Gross Motor Room, and Outdoor Playground
- Lead licensing visits, inspections, and corrective action plans if needed
- Develop and enforce center policies and emergency procedures Staff Leadership & Development
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise teaching and support staff
- Ensure staff-to-child ratios are met at all times
- Conduct staff meetings, observations, and performance evaluations
- Support professional development, coaching, and ongoing training
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and respectful work culture Program & Curriculum Oversight
- Ensure developmentally appropriate curriculum for: o Infants, toddlers, preschool, Pre-K, and school-age children
- Support classroom quality, routines, and transitions
- Oversee enrichment activities, physical movement, and outdoor play
- Promote social-emotional learning, school readiness, and child engagement
- Monitor classroom environments for safety, cleanliness, and effectiveness Family Engagement & Enrollment
- Serve as the primary contact for families
- Conduct tours, enrollments, orientations, and transitions
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and caregivers
- Address concerns with care, confidentiality, and follow-through
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families Administrative & Financial Responsibilities
- Maintain child records, attendance, and enrollment documentation
- Oversee tuition billing, collections, and enrollment capacity
- Maintain staff files, background studies, and training records
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, and supply management
- Track licensing documentation and required reports Qualifications Required
- Meets Director qualifications per state childcare licensing
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in early childhood education
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a childcare or school setting
- Strong knowledge of licensing regulations and child development
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience managing a multi-age, multi-room center
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Key Skills & Attributes
