Join Our Leadership Team! Anna's Bananas Daycare & Preschool is seeking an experienced, passionate, and motivated Center Director to lead one of our high-quality childcare centers. We are looking for a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is dedicated to creating a positive, engaging, and nurturing atmosphere for children, families, and staff. This leadership role is an integral part of our management team and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the center while ensuring excellence in education, compliance, staff leadership, and family relationships. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, energetic, and passionate about early childhood education and building strong teams. Position ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management Lead, support, and motivate teachers and support staff to create a positive and professional workplace culture. Manage day-to-day operations of the childcare center while maintaining Minnesota staffing ratios and supervision requirements at all times. Provide coaching, training, mentoring, and ongoing support to staff members. Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to ensure classrooms meet company standards and licensing requirements. Promote accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and strong communication throughout the center. Assist with staff scheduling, coverage, and classroom transitions as needed. Support employee onboarding, orientation, and continued professional development. Childcare & Educational Oversight Ensure classrooms provide a safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate, and nurturing learning environment. Oversee implementation of curriculum and classroom activities for infants, toddlers, preschool, and pre-k programs. Ensure classrooms remain organized, sanitized, visually appealing, and tour-ready. Support teachers with classroom management strategies and positive behavior guidance. Ensure children's needs are being met socially, emotionally, physically, and academically. Family & Community Relationships Build strong, positive, and professional relationships with children, families, and staff. Communicate effectively with families regarding child development, classroom updates, and center information. Address parent questions and concerns professionally and in a timely manner. Conduct tours for prospective families and assist throughout the enrollment process. Help families feel welcomed, supported, and connected within the center community. Licensing, Compliance & Safety Ensure the center remains fully compliant with Minnesota Department of Human Services Rule 9503 and all applicable childcare licensing regulations. Maintain accurate children's files, staff records, training documentation, and licensing paperwork. Monitor health, safety, sanitation, and supervision standards throughout the center. Ensure proper implementation of emergency procedures, name-to-face accountability, and center safety protocols. Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational expectations. Oversee Daily Connect documentation, classroom records, and required state tracking procedures. Administrative & Operational Responsibilities Maintain strong organization of center operations, classrooms, supplies, and documentation. Monitor center appearance and ensure high standards for cleanliness, organization, bulletin boards, and classroom presentation. Assist with enrollment growth, retention, staffing support, and center success initiatives. Collaborate with Regional Directors and management teams to meet center goals and performance expectations. Support monthly center initiatives, trainings, and operational improvements. Qualifications Previous experience in childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education required. Leadership or management experience preferred. Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Knowledge of Minnesota childcare licensing regulations and DHS Rule 9503 preferred. Strong classroom management and behavior guidance skills. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment. CPR & First Aid Certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Teaching background or education-related experience preferred. Ability to lift and carry children up to 40 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities.
