The director ensures the center operates in alignment with college policies, state and federal regulations, and early childhood best practices. This position is responsible for staff supervision, program quality, compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements, fiscal and administrative management, and the creation of a positive, professional, and supportive environment for children, families, and staff. The Director ensures the center operates in alignment with college policies, state and federal regulations, and early childhood best practices. This position typically demands flexibility within center operating hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, occasional evening or weekend hours for meetings, training, or facility planning may be required. Additionally, this role requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to move throughout the facility as needed to support daily operations. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provide leadership and direction for center operations and staff. 2. Manage center reporting, including Best Beginnings documentation, CACFP reporting and other center administration. 3. Assist staff in creation and review of lesson plans, assisting in classrooms as needed to support operations 4. Support staff in developing & implementing professional development plans, encouraging ongoing professional learning and compliance with required trainings 5. Ensure program compliance with Montana child care licensing regulations, STARS to Quality standards, Early Head Start standards and Child and Adult Care Food Programs, as well as others as applicable 6. Ensure learning environments are safe, welcoming, developmentally appropriate and well-maintained. Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills 1. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Family and Consumer Sciences, or a related field. 2. Qualification and annual registration as Level 8 or higher on the Practitioner Registry. 3. At least 5 years of experience supervising staff in a licensed early childhood setting. 4. Proof of required immunizations ( e.g., Tdap, MMR). 5. Current Adult/Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification. Preferred Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills 1. Experience with
CACFP, STARS
to Quality, and EHS collaboration. 2. Knowledge of SmartCare, QuickBooks, Practitioner Registry, ECP, and CACFP systems. The Successful Candidate Will 1.
