Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Daycare Director to lead our early childhood education and childcare program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in childhood development, classroom management, and working with children of various age groups. As the Daycare Director, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with safety standards, and foster a nurturing environment that supports the growth and well-being of children. Duties Manage the overall operation of the daycare facility, including staff supervision, curriculum implementation, and enrollment processes. Develop and maintain age-appropriate educational programs that promote early childhood development and learning. Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols and sanitation standards. Recruit, train, and evaluate staff members to ensure high-quality caregiving and classroom experience. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior management strategies, and program updates. Maintain accurate records related to attendance, licensing compliance, and staff certifications. Foster an inclusive, positive environment that encourages social-emotional growth and developmental milestones. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in childcare settings such as preschool, daycare, or early childhood education programs. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early education. Certification in first aid and CPR; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to oversee multiple age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Experience in supervising staff members within a childcare or educational environment. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and caregiving strategies tailored to diverse needs.
