Kids Club Assistant Site Director Omaha, NE Job Details Part-time From $16 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Menu design Serving Record keeping CPR Certification Behavioral standards enforcement in schools Greeting customers First aid High school diploma or GED Working with children First Aid Certification Cleaning Food ordering Entry level Full Job Description The Assistant Director reports directly to the Site Director. Assistant Site Director starting wage is $16/hr The assistant director is also accountable to administrative staff and is responsible for the operation of the site in the absence of the site director. The assistant director is supervised by the site director.
Duties include:
Being responsible for the safety and well-being of each child Knowing the state regulations Interaction with parents-greeting, communication (good/bad) Recording personal in-service hours Knowing where all records are kept and being able to show them when required Knowing and carrying out all procedures at the site In the absence of the director, supervising children which will include discipline (verbal/written), follow up with parent and informing the director upon their return. Attending staff meetings Taking directions from the site director Helping to serve snacks Helping to clean up Ordering food and milk Creating the menu for the site (after school snack) Preparing an activity. The assistant director must meet the qualifications set by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, which include up to 12 in-service hours each school year based on hire date. The assistant director must have a high school diploma/GED, be currently certified in CPR and first aid, must have 1500 hours of verifiable childcare experience and must submit an annual health examination form and felony statement. Every staff person is required to be engaged with children when working at Kids Club. Use of a cellphone, staff visiting with each other, sitting alone or with other staff members, is considered not paying attention to the children, is unprofessional and will not be tolerated. Checking social media, texting and other unnecessary usage of the cell phone during business hours may include termination if this policy is not adhered to! Playing a table game with children is permissible, as long as staff watches children in other activities. If all children present are appropriately involved in activities, staff members should be observing the entire area. Employees may not eat or drink outside food or beverages during Kids Club hours. Kids Club snacks are to be enjoyed by the children- NOT the staff.
