Morning/Afternoon Manager Licensed Daycare Center

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Head Teacher for our Licensed Daycare Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the daycare during afternoon hours, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of childhood development, and the ability to manage a team while engaging with children and their families. Duties Supervise and support staff in providing high-quality care and education to children aged infant to preschool. Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and maintain a safe environment for all children. Manage classroom activities, including behavior management and classroom organization. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Provide first aid as necessary and maintain up-to-date first aid certifications. Collaborate with staff to create individualized plans for children with special needs or disabilities. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and support. Experience Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is required, preferably in a daycare setting. Strong background in childhood development principles and practices. Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies. Experience in toddler care, infant care, or preschool settings is beneficial. • Bachelor's Degree Required, in Early Childhood Education Preferred
