Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Center Director to support the daily operations of our child care center. If you have a background in early childhood education , strong leadership skills, and a passion for helping children thrive, this is your chance to join a winning team. Assist the Center Director in all administrative, operational, and compliance functions.
Supervise and mentor staff:
hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, and performance management. Maintain strong parent communication and address concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure compliance with OCFS regulations , safety standards, and licensing requirements. Conduct classroom observations and monitor curriculum implementation. Manage operational tasks such as attendance records, supply ordering, and inventory management. Oversee regulatory programs ( Aspire , CACFP , QualityStarsNY ). Plan and lead monthly staff meetings, trainings, and engagement activities. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming facility for children, families, and staff.
Qualifications:
Prior management experience in child care / early childhood education. CDA credential or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Strong working knowledge of
NYS OCFS
regulations . Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
