Christ Community Chapel's (CCC) Preschool is a faith-based, cooperative, play-based school launching under the governance of CCC. The Preschool Director will build the school from the ground up by designing systems, hiring and leading staff, engaging families, and ensuring every aspect of the program reflects Christ-centered excellence in early childhood education. This is a full-time role reporting to the Executive Director of Strategy & Operations.Responsibilities include:
School Launch & Strategic Leadership:
Lead all pre-launch activity: state licensing, facility compliance, website, student applications, and enrollment processes. Finalize and manage the school's operating budget in partnership with CCC leadership. Build and steward the school's mission, culture, and brand in alignment with CCC's values. Serve as the primary liaison between the school and CCC leadership, staff, and the broader church community. Lead student recruitment, enrollment, and retention through strategic communication and community outreach. Build strong family relationships and serve as the face of the school to prospective and enrolled families.Educational Quality:
Design and implement a Christ-centered, play-based curriculum aligned with Ohio Early Learning and Development Standards. Ensure all students leave kindergarten-ready and able to articulate foundational Christian beliefs. Establish and maintain Ohio Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) compliance and continuous improvement practices.Team Leadership & Development:
Recruit, hire, and lead a team of lead and assistant teachers. Maintain regulatory and professional quality compliance for all staff. Foster a collaborative, mission-driven work environment.Operations & Administration:
Oversee daily school operations, academic calendar, and safety protocols. Manage part-time administrative support and coordinate with CCC facilities and communications teams. Ensure ongoing compliance with all Ohio childcare licensing requirements.Requirements:
Authentic and growing relationship with Jesus and committed to the mission and vision of CCC. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field; master's degree is preferred. Minimum 3 years of combined teaching and leadership experience in an early childhood setting. Experience in launching or building a new school or education program is preferred. Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, lead, and develop teachers. Knowledge of Ohio SUTQ standards, licensing requirements, and the Ohio Professional Registry. Financial management experience, including budgeting. Strong written and verbal communicator with relational skills to build trust with families, staff, and church leadership. Theologically articulate with the ability to integrate theological content and Bible-based moral formation meaningfully into an ECE program.
