Full-Time About Sanctuary Learning Center Sanctuary Learning Center is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe in empowering our staff, partnering with families, and creating meaningful programs that support early childhood development. Position Summary The Center Director will oversee the daily operations of Sanctuary Learning Center, ensuring compliance with state regulations, delivering high-quality programming, and maintaining a positive environment for children, families, and staff. This individual will work closely with the owner and/or group supervisor to ensure the center operates smoothly and meets its programmatic goals. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Development Develop and implement age-appropriate, engaging programs aligned with state standards and the center's mission. Ensure programs meet educational, social-emotional, and developmental goals for all children. Maintain compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements. Ability to multitask between teaching and directing. Staff Management Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard staff. Provide regular training, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Supervise and evaluate staff performance to ensure quality care and learning outcomes. Create and maintain a supportive and collaborative work culture. Operational Oversight Oversee daily operations including scheduling, classroom ratios, safety protocols, and center maintenance. Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping. Monitor and maintain compliance with health and safety standards. Family & Community Engagement Build positive, professional relationships with families. Address concerns promptly and effectively. Support family engagement events and partnerships with community organizations. Collaboration with Ownership Work hand-in-hand with the owner and/or group supervisor to support strategic goals, enrollment growth, and staff development. Assist with budgeting, program expansion, and quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Bachelor's preferred). Must meet PA DHS Director or Group Supervisor qualification requirements. Minimum of 2 years of early childhood leadership experience. Strong knowledge of state childcare licensing regulations. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Preferred Skills Program development experience. Staff training and supervision background. Ability to foster a positive, inclusive environment for staff and families. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
