Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Childcare Center Director and lead a vibrant, nurturing environment dedicated to the growth and development of young children. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily center operations, foster a positive and engaging learning atmosphere, and ensure full compliance with all licensing and regulatory standards. You will inspire and support staff, build strong relationships with families, and help create a community where children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and passionate leader with a strong commitment to early childhood education and center management.
Hours:
8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership to ensure the smooth operation of the childcare center, aligning with organizational goals and regulatory requirements Implement engaging curricula that support early childhood development and learning standards Preliminary hiring, training, and evaluating staff members Foster strong relationships with families through open communication, parent meetings, and community engagement Oversee compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety protocols, and accreditation standards Opening the center in a timely manner and greeting families; Always ensuring the safety and protection of children; Maintaining proper staff-to-child ratios; Supervising classroom instruction and daily activities; Maintaining all staff and children's paperwork in an organized manner; Monitoring expiring forms and keeping them up to date; Providing guidance for ongoing professional development opportunities; Communicating center policies and child progress with parents; Monitoring compliance with health, sanitation, and emergency procedures; and Ensuring the center complies with all applicable DSS licensing regulations and laws. Qualifications Associate's degree or higher degree in early childhood education or a related field with equivalent coursework required. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience managing five (5) or more staff members. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Computer proficiency in MS Office. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Ability to attend after-hour meetings occasionally. Must successfully passSLED/FBI
background checks, drug screening, Central Registry clearance, and required health screenings.
