Daycare Director

Overview Trojan Learning Center is seeking a full-time enthusiastic day care director for our successful nonprofit community day care. The candidate must love children and be able to effectively provide supervision and leadership to nurture and provide education to young children in a group setting and in strict compliance with the local, state and federal Department of Health regulations. Duties Essential job duties will include but are not limited to: 1. Overseeing daily functions of all aspects of the child care center 2. Providing supervision, leadership and support to all staff 3. Supporting and providing guidance to teaching staff on children's programming 4. Managing all elements of child care enrollment and ensuring the smooth integration of new children to the center 5. Developing and maintaining a positive relationship and regular communication with parents; resolving parent program conflicts as they arise 6. Continually monitoring program elements for effectiveness and analyzing for safety Experience The qualified individual must be at least 18 years of age, must not have a record of child abuse or neglect, must hold South Dakota director credentials in accordance with the department of social services, and retain a basic life support certification.
