Building Kidz of Hermitage is seeking a passionate, organized, and energetic Performing Arts Director to lead and grow our preschool performing arts program. This is not just a teaching position. We are looking for a leader who can inspire staff, engage children, support curriculum excellence, and help create meaningful performing arts experiences that families remember for years to come. Position Details Part-Time Average 18-25 hours per week $24-$28 per hour based on experience and qualifications Located in Hermitage, TN What You'll Do Lead and oversee our preschool Performing Arts program Teach music and theater classes to preschool children Supervise and support Performing Arts staff Ensure curriculum quality and consistency Coordinate performances, costumes, props, rehearsals, and productions Plan and lead school performances and shows Help recruit, onboard, and develop Performing Arts staff Support a positive, encouraging, and excellence-driven culture Collaborate with school leadership and classroom teachers Help create memorable experiences for children and families What We're Looking For Strong leadership and organizational skills Experience working with young children preferred Background in music, theater, dance, arts education, or related field Ability to lead with energy, positivity, professionalism, and creativity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple moving pieces and maintain strong follow-through Passion for child development and the arts
Ideal Candidates May Have Experience In:
Preschool or elementary arts education Children's theater Music instruction Dance instruction Early childhood education Church children's ministry or productions Performing arts camps or enrichment programs Why Building Kidz?
