The Child Development Center (CDC) at Great Oaks Elementary is one of two licensed, full-time child care centers operated by Round Rock ISD. The center is licensed by Texas Health and Human Services and operates inpliance with state minimum standards for child care. The CDC serves children of Round Rock ISD employees at affordable tuition rates, as well as children of student parents enrolled at Round Rock, McNeil, and Westwood High Schools, who attend at no cost as long as they remain enrolled and passing in their classes. The District also provides daily bus service for student parents and their children to and from the center. About theRole:
The Director of the Child Development Center administers the daily operation of the CDC at Great Oaks Elementary and reports to the Assistant Director, Early Childhood Education. The position is responsible for the health, safety, and developmental environment of every enrolled child, supervision of CDC staff, and fullpliance with state licensing requirements. This is an opportunity to lead a licensed early childhood program from operations and budget through staff development, parent engagement, and program quality, with direct day-to-day impact on the children and families served.Date Posted:

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer the daily operation of the Child Development Center inpliance with HHSC Child Care Regulation minimum standards.
- Submit required information and forms to Texas Health and Human Services within required timelines.
- Define and enforce policies for admission, attendance, tuition, and educational goals.
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate program for all enrolled children.
- Evaluate each child's progress, abilities, and special needs.
- Plan and implement a food program based on sound nutritional principles.
- Supervise, schedule, and evaluate assigned staff; ensure no staff member is scheduled for more than ten hours of direct child care.
- Prepare and operate within the annual program budget and report fiscal information accurately.
- Coordinate enrollment intake visits and arrange transportation logistics with the daycare bus driver as needed.
- Plan and administer a parent participation program, including orientation, parent education, two-waymunication, and a parents' library.
- Resolve parent and student concerns in a timely manner.
- Serve as an ex-officio member of the Child Care Advisory Council.
- Coordinate departmental activities with other District offices and administrators.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.License:
Current Texas Day Care Administrator's license.
Experience:
Two years of related experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalentbination of education and experience.Salary Range:
$52,768.70- 64,353.
