POSITION SUMMARY
The Primrose Director is responsible for the overall leadership, operational management, team development, and educational excellence of the preschool. This role ensures a safe, nurturing, compliant, and high-performing learning environment for children, families, and staff while driving enrollment, retention, culture, and financial performance. The Primrose Director serves as the operational leader of the school, building strong relationships with families, coaching team members, and ensuring the organization delivers exceptional early childhood education experiences every day.

We are seeking a passionate and operationally strong Private Preschool Director to lead our school, inspire our team, and ensure excellence across education, culture, compliance, and family experience.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
The school operates in full compliance with all state licensing, health, and safety standards Enrollment, retention, and family satisfaction metrics consistently meet or exceed targets Teachers and support staff are coached, developed, and retained through strong leadership and accountability Classrooms maintain high-quality educational standards and age-appropriate learning environments School operations, staffing, scheduling, and communication run efficiently with minimal disruption Families, children, and staff experience a positive, professional, and supportive culture daily
OBJECTIVES
Maintain full compliance with all childcare licensing, health, safety, and operational regulations Lead day-to-day school operations to ensure a structured, organized, and efficient environment Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and retain high-performing teaching and support staff Conduct regular classroom observations and provide developmental coaching to team members Drive enrollment growth and student retention through exceptional family engagement and service Maintain accurate staffing schedules and ensure proper classroom coverage ratios at all times Monitor school financial performance, including labor management, budgeting, and operational expenses Build strong relationships with families through consistent communication and issue resolution Ensure curriculum implementation aligns with Primrose educational standards and organizational expectations Foster a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and child development Manage vendor relationships, facility needs, and operational improvements proactively Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and administrative records in alignment with company expectations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Business Administration, or related field preferred Minimum 2+ years of leadership experience within a licensed childcare center, preschool, or early childhood education environment required Experience leading teams, managing operations, and overseeing staffing within a childcare setting preferred Strong understanding of state childcare licensing requirements, safety regulations, and compliance standards Experience with parent communication, enrollment management, and staff coaching preferred CPR/First Aid Certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire Director Certification or Licensing preferred based on state requirements
