This is a contract-based freelance role, ideal for candidates with strong knowledge of TRS guidelines, coaching, mentoring, and childcare compliance. Responsibilities Guide childcare centers through the Texas Rising Star certification and assessment process Conduct mentorship sessions and provide improvement strategies based on TRS standards Review classroom environments, documentation, and operational practices Support directors and staff in meeting quality standards and compliance requirements Assist with action plans, staff training recommendations, and quality improvement goals Monitor progress and provide ongoing feedback and support Stay updated with current TRS policies, requirements, and best practices

Requirements :

Minimum 3 years of prior experience working with Texas Rising Star (TRS) Strong understanding of TRS categories, standards, and assessment process 3 years of prior experience in mentoring or consulting childcare centers preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently on a freelance/contract basis Background in early childhood education or childcare operations is a plus
