Job Description

A well-reputed, national child care provider
KIDDIE ACADEMY OF MIDLOTHIAN-WATKINS
is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic
DIRECTOR
for their location in Midlothian, VA. Kiddie Academy has been a leader in education-based child care since 1981 with nearly 130 academies located in 23 states. The new, medium-sized, state-of-the-art center with a capacity of 168 kids will serve children from ages 6 weeks to 12 years old, offering full & part time care, before- and after-school care and summer camp programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintain a center that meets or exceeds the company guidelines, licensing requirements, health regulations, and fire codes, and keep all permits and licenses current. Conduct tours for prospective parents, enroll new families, and assist the management's efforts to quickly ramp up and meet the academy's enrollment goals. Create and execute local marketing plan (both internal and external) necessary to drive new enrollments and maintain desired capacity. Recruit, train and retain quality staff. Handle staff scheduling and other personnel-related matters. Establish positive working relationships and communicate effectively with corporate office, staff, parents, children, state licensing authorities, vendors and other members of the community. Manage the finances of the center effectively and within budgetary guidelines. Ensure all finance-related record keeping requirements are met.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in early childhood education 5+ years of experience in early childhood education setting. 2+ years of experience as a Director of licensed child care programs. Solid understanding of NAEYC and/or NAC accreditation and VA state licensing standards. Excellent leadership and organizational skills required. Strong customer service and communication skills (both written and oral) required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computers a must. Experience with managing budgets and implementing marketing programs. Must be physically agile, highly energetic and be able to work both indoors and outdoors. Qualified candidates only.
