Job Description

Job Description Child's Time Early Learning Center is a growing, family-owned organization dedicated to providing high-quality early learning experiences and exceptional care for children and families throughout our communities. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and passionate Site Director to lead daily center operations, support staff development, ensure licensing compliance, and foster a positive, family-centered culture. Position Summary The Site Director is responsible for the overall management and success of the center, including enrollment, staffing, licensing compliance, family engagement, curriculum implementation, and financial accountability. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can effectively support teachers, build relationships with families, and maintain a high-quality learning environment. As a Site Director, you will : Oversee daily operations of the center while ensuring compliance with all DCYF licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies. Lead, mentor, coach, and support teaching staff to promote professional growth and program quality. Manage staff schedules, attendance, classroom ratios, and overall staffing needs. Conduct classroom observations and provide ongoing feedback and support to team members. Build strong relationships with families through effective communication and exceptional customer service. Support enrollment efforts, family tours, and retention initiatives. Utilize Procare to manage enrollment, attendance, family accounts, billing information, staff records, and daily center operations. Ensure accurate documentation, child records, incident reports, and licensing files are maintained. Support implementation of the center's curriculum and quality improvement initiatives. Monitor center budgets, labor costs, and operational efficiency. Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment. Respond professionally to family concerns and work proactively to resolve issues. Collaborate with regional leadership to achieve organizational goals and maintain high program standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
Previous leadership experience in a licensed childcare center required. Strong knowledge of Washington State DCYF licensing regulations and early learning best practices. Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff. Experience using childcare management software (Procare experience preferred). Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Required Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years old Must be able to pass a DCYF portable background check and TB test. Current CPR, First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Food Handler certifications (or ability to obtain upon hire). Must be registered in MERIT with an active
STARS ID
number. High School Diploma or Equivalent (required). ECE State Certificate, AA/AS Degree in Early Childhood Education, or higher (preferred) Meets Washington State licensing qualifications for a Child Care Center Director.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and actively engage with children throughout the day. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds

Friday Wage:
