POSITION SUMMARY
The Center Director is responsible for the overall administration, compliance, and operational success of Raze Early Learning Center. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Center Director leads day-to-day business operations, human resources, enrollment management, and family/community relationships while overseeing compliance with licensing and funding regulations. The Director partners closely with the Assistant Director to ensure a high-quality, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate program.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Center Operations & Administration Oversee and manage daily business operations of the center Ensure full compliance withWAC, DCYF
licensing, subsidy, and safety standards Create and manage annual operating budget in collaboration with Executive Director Monitor tuition collection, subsidy reimbursements, and financial documentation Maintain updated records for staff, families, and licensing compliance Implement center-wide policies, procedures, and staff handbooks Maintain and attain museum memorabilia Human Resources & Staff Management Lead hiring, onboarding, and HR documentation for all center staff Conduct performance evaluations, improvement plans, and progressive discipline when needed Provide supervision, mentorship, and support to the Assistant Director Coordinate professional development opportunities in alignment with licensing and program goals Maintain confidential staff files and oversee required certifications Family & Community Engagement Serve as the primary contact for family concerns, escalations, and support needs Oversee enrollment process, family onboarding, and communication systems Represent Raze in community partnerships, advocacy meetings, and external communications Coordinate culturally relevant family engagement events with the Assistant Director Ensure transparency and accessibility in all parent communication practices Strategic Planning & Program Growth Collaborate with Executive Director on strategic goals and expansion planning Monitor enrollment trends, budget targets, and program sustainability metrics Analyze data on student retention, staff morale, and family satisfaction to inform decision-making Participate in long-term vision planning and organizational development effortsQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Early Childhood Education, Administration, or related field preferred Minimum 5 years of experience in early childhood leadership or program administration Deep knowledge of Washington state licensing (WAC) and subsidy systems Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills Commitment to culturally responsive practices and the mission of dismantling systemic inequities through early education CPR/First Aid, STARS training, Food Handler's card, and background check required upon hireBENEFITS
