Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-K Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their early childhood education journey. In this vital role, you will assist in creating a vibrant classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional development, and foundational skills. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape the minds of our youngest students, fostering a love for learning through engaging activities and thoughtful instruction. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among preschool-aged children. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation. Plan and execute engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention strategies. Support children's developmental milestones by observing progress, documenting growth, and communicating with families about their child's achievements and needs. Incorporate age-appropriate activities that foster language development, literacy skills, motor skills, and cognitive growth through play-based learning. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management strategies, and implementing standardized testing or assessments when necessary. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; classroom management skills are highly valued. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring young children. Familiarity with behavior management techniques tailored for preschool students. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Certification or training in early childhood education or Montessori methods is preferred; relevant coursework in literacy education and math is advantageous. Ability to create an inclusive environment that promotes child welfare, safety, and emotional well-being at all times.
