About Us Palmer LifeWays is a Waldorf-inspired, nature-based early childhood program serving children from infancy through preschool. We believe children learn best through hands-on experiences, creative play, meaningful relationships, and time in nature. Our program emphasizes social-emotional development, practical life skills, imagination, and a predictable daily rhythm that helps children feel safe and supported. We are looking for a reliable, caring Teacher to join our team and help provide a warm, engaging environment where children can learn and grow. Responsibilities Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines Supervise and engage with children throughout the day Assist with meals, transitions, outdoor play, and rest times Help maintain a clean, organized classroom Foster positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers Follow licensing regulations and program policies Qualifications Enjoy working with young children Dependable, patient, and able to work well as part of a team Strong communication skills Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions Have education in Early Childhood or willing to get education Requirements Must pass a State of Alaska background check Ability to actively participate in classroom activities and outside play Benefits Paid time off Childcare discount Paid training and professional development Supportive team environment Opportunities for advancement Palmer LifeWays values employees who are dependable, collaborative, and committed to providing quality care for children.
