  • Part-time, Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing age-appropriate curriculum, fostering social and emotional growth, and ensuring a safe and stimulating classroom experience. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow while supporting their individual developmental needs. Responsibilities Design and implement engaging lesson plans that promote early literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional learning in accordance with developmental standards. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and cooperation among children. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies. Support children's individual needs through tailored activities, including special education accommodations and early intervention strategies. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Conduct regular assessments of each child's development using standardized testing methods when applicable to track progress and inform instruction. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements, participate in ongoing training, and ensure compliance with childcare regulations and best practices. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting; classroom management skills are essential. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, and special education practices. Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that supports literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori or other educational philosophies. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with classroom experience including lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom organization. Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; relevant coursework in childhood development or preschool education is advantageous. Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining flexibility to adapt to the needs of individual children.
