Pre-K Lead Teacher 2415 Old Moulton Road SW, Decatur, AL 35603 From $4,000 a month - Full-time From $4,000 a month - Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. In this vital role, you will lead the development and implementation of age-appropriate curricula, promote early childhood education principles, and support the social-emotional growth of preschool children. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help lay a strong foundation for each child's academic journey, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and excited to learn every day. Responsibilities Design and execute dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy and math. Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, developmental milestones, and any special education or early intervention needs. Implement curriculum development strategies that incorporate classroom management techniques and child welfare best practices. Assess student development through observations to tailor instruction effectively. Manage classroom routines, activities, and transitions smoothly while maintaining a safe environment for toddlers and preschoolers. Support children with special education needs by adapting lessons and providing targeted interventions in collaboration with specialists. Experience Prior classroom experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies. Experience in curriculum development across various subjects such as literacy education and math. Proven ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning environment. Familiarity with classroom management techniques, lesson planning tools, and standardized testing procedures. Strong communication skills to engage with parents, colleagues, and community partners effectively. Previous private school or daycare experience is preferred but not required; passion for early childhood education is a must!
