In this dynamic role, you will inspire young learners, foster a love of discovery, and create a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Your expertise in early childhood education will help lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning, development, and curiosity. We are dedicated to providing an enriching environment that empowers both children and educators to excel. Responsibilities Plan and implement a high-quality curriculum aligned with Alabama First Class Pre-K Standards Create a safe, welcoming and stimulating classroom environment Support the social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical development of all students. Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain required documentation and records. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate effectively with the classroom auxiliary teacher and administrators. Participate in required professional development training and meetings. Ensure full compliance with all Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education and Office of School Readiness requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Human Environmental Science degree with a concentration in Early Childhood Development or Child Development or Special Education degree in Early Childhood with a minimum of 18 credit hours in early childhood/child development coursework or Elementary Education degree with a minimum of 18 hours in early childhood/child development coursework The Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education does not require teacher certifications Preferred (but not required) Qualifications Experience teaching in an Alabama First Class Pre-K classroom Familiarity with the Alabama Standards for Early Learning and Development (ASELD) and Teaching Strategies (GOLD) Why Join Us?
