Job Description

Watch Me Grow Child Development Center, Inc . is seeking a highly qualified, and/or certified, passionate and dynamic professional as it's First-Class Pre-K Lead Teacher. Along with the Auxiliary Teacher, you will work with preschool students to inspire and foster a love of discovery and growth in a vibrant early childhood education environment. In this role, you will lead engaging classroom activities, develop tailored curriculum, and create a nurturing space where children can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities:
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and respectful interactions among children. Manage classroom routines and behavior management strategies to promote safety, engagement, and cooperation. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessments, and classroom activities to ensure a cohesive learning experience. Support children's individual needs through early intervention strategies and specialized instruction when necessary. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and developmental milestones for reporting purposes. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share insights about their child's growth and address any concerns or questions.
Requirements:
Must be (21) twenty-one years old or older Have previous preschool teaching experience [Minimum of one (1) year]. Must be available to work a full-time schedule [program time varies from a 7 1/2 - 8-hour day]. Must have an Early Childhood Education Degree (B.S., B. A., M.A., or M.S.) from an accredited college/university. Degree holder must have completed a minimum of (18) hours in Early Childhood/Child Development course work from an accredited college/university. All degree(s) must be submitted with an official transcript. Familiarity with Teaching Strategies/GOLD and Creative Curriculum Submit to an ABI/FBI Background and a Child Abuse & Neglect (CA/N) Report Checks - of which both reports must return with a cleared and suitable status by the State of Alabama Department of Human Resources. Complete (11) eleven hours of Federal (CCDF) and (12) hours of DHR Child Care Training hours; have a current Food Handler's Card, a Child/Infant First Aid & CPR Training Certificate, a TB/Medical {Physical} Screening and maintain an update record of all pertinent personnel information.
Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
