JOB DESCRIPTION
PER-K
AIDE QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a high school diploma or GED Must have nine (9) hours of early childhood education college course-work or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credentialed through Council of Professional Recognition or an Early Childhood Education Associate degree or an Associate degree in Child Development
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Assist the teacher in delivering lessons and managing small groups Ensure child safety and promote positive social interactions throughout the day Help organize classroom materials and learning centers Support observations and documentation of children's development as directed by lead teacher Help with daily cleaning and organizing of the learning environment Complete required OSR professional development hours (at least 20 annually) Assist with other duties as assigned

This position is funded by a grant. Therefore, tenure cannot be gained in this position.
