We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Your role is vital in creating a positive foundation for children's lifelong learning journey, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and excited to explore the world around them. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while working within a supportive team dedicated to excellence in early childhood education. Duties Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional development Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and resolve conflicts effectively Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs, including those with special needs and dual language learners Oversee classroom activities to ensure safety, engagement, and adherence to licensing regulations and funding standards Conduct assessments of children's progress through observation and documentation; adjust teaching strategies accordingly Lead classroom management efforts to maintain an organized learning environment conducive to active participation and learning Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques Expertise in curriculum implementation addressing various objectives for development and learning Experience working with children of diverse backgrounds, including those with special needs, dual language learners, and those needing intensive behavior supports Proficiency in classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and a respectful learning environment Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners Ability to plan and implement engaging age and developmentally appropriate lessons Familiarity with age appropriate expectations and assessment tools for early childhood learners Knowledge of best practices in childcare, preschool experience, and classroom experience in early childhood settings Join us as a Preschool Lead Teacher to shape young minds through innovative teaching practices and compassionate care while serving the whole child to meet their nutritional, health, dental, and social-emotional needs.
