As part of our team, you will play a vital role in fostering childhood development through fun activities, educational support, and positive guidance. Duties Supervise children during after-school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Lead engaging activities that promote social skills, creativity, and physical development Manage classroom behavior using positive discipline and behavior management techniques Assist with homework help, tutoring, and educational games tailored to various age groups Coordinate sports, arts, theater, or other enrichment programs to foster growth and confidence Implement child safety protocols including first aid procedures when necessary Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable/but we can provide that if needed Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively Ability to engage children through creative teaching methods and recreational activities Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude towards children of all backgrounds Must be reliable, energetic, flexible, and committed to creating a positive environment for kids Join us at Roo's World After School Care as we expand our team!
