In this role, you will inspire and nurture children during their formative years, creating engaging learning environments that promote growth, curiosity, and confidence. Your expertise in early childhood education, combined with your enthusiasm for teaching, will help shape young minds and foster a love of learning. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' lives while working within a supportive and dynamic team. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to school-age children, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable Design engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote active participation among students Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies Support children's social-emotional development and ensure their safety and well-being in accordance with child welfare guidelines Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and identify areas for additional support or tutoring Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive learning environments that accommodate children with special education needs or requiring early intervention Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and classroom activities to ensure compliance with educational policies Experience Proven classroom management experience working with school-age children in preschool or daycare settings Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across various subjects including literacy, math, physical education, and early childhood education principles Experience working with children requiring special education services or early intervention programs Familiarity with Montessori teaching methods and preschool experience is highly desirable Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques to support individual student needs Prior private school or daycare experience is preferred but not mandatory; a passion for childhood development is essential
Pay:
$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
