Job Description
Job Overview Learning Garden Preschool & Daycare is seeking a dedicated Christian Childcare / Preschool Teacher to join our faith-based educational team. Our state of the art Christian school is located on the Southwest corner of Greenfield and Warner road in Gilbert, AZ. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood development and committed to fostering a nurturing, faith-centered environment for young learners. This role involves following engaging lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and supporting children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth in accordance with Christian values and educational best practices. Duties Implement age-appropriate curriculum that integrates Christian principles with early childhood education standards. Execute daily lesson plans focusing on literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Provide attentive toddler care and support children's developmental milestones through tailored activities. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques aligned with Christian teachings. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning and spiritual growth. Assess children's progress through observations and standardized testing, adjusting instruction as needed. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress and address individual needs. Support children's welfare by promoting respect, kindness, and moral values consistent with Christian beliefs. Skills Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom management and executing lesson plans. Knowledge of childhood development stages, behavior management strategies, and early intervention techniques. Ability to adapt teaching methods for children that require additional support. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, staff, and community members. Experience with tutoring strategies for early learners. Background in early childhood education programs such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Church Child Care or Preschool experience is preferred. Compassionate approach rooted in Christian values to foster a nurturing environment that promotes moral growth alongside academic development.
