Requirements and Qualifications 18 years of age or older 6 months of childcare experience High school diploma or GED; orAt least 12 credit hours from an accredited college or university including at least 6 credit hours in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field; orN.A.C., C.D.A., or C.C.P. credentialCurrent Food Handlers, CPR and First Aid certifications requiredObtain and maintain AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance cardCurrent Tuberculosis test requiredCertification in early childcare or degree in childhood development preferredMinimum 2 years experience working in a professional childcare settingExceptional patience and ability to remain calm at all timesExcellent listening skills and an engaging demeanorSolid working knowledge of childhood developmentCreativity, compassion, and professionalism are a mustFun and enthusiastic attitudeWilling to sing, dance, and be silly with the childrenPhysically able to perform tasks, including sitting on the floor, bending, and standingMust be able to lift children weighing up to 30 lbs regularly Exposure to a variety of childhood conditions and elements common with a childcare facility.
