Assistant Center Director - this position is responsible for the daily planning, management and supervision of 10-15 staff, and 100+ children. The Asst. Preschool Director is responsible for communicating with parents as needed. The position requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service. An understanding and experience with Arizona childcare licensing requirements is a must. Experience with
DHS, DES
, Quality First, CACFP and Procare System Preferred. A combination of infant, toddler or preschool teaching experience. Strong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills and ability to create/maintain partnerships with families and staff. Ability to lead staff in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum. Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks or crisis situations effectively. Capacity to understand and manage center financial duties. Computer literacy. Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across differences. Excellent organizational & communication skills Willingness to work in a team environment.
Qualifications:
At least 21 years of age At least 12 to 24 months of child care experience At least 30 actual hours of training, provided in conferences, seminars, lectures, or workshops in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field, and an additional 10 hours of instruction, provided in conferences, seminars, lectures, or workshops in the area of program administration, planning, development, or management; OR BA or AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or
CDA, CCP, NAC
credential & 6 months experience in a licensed preschool or childcare setting
Or:
Associate's in ECE, Child Development or closely related field & 6 months experience in a licensed preschool or childcare setting
Or:
Bachelor's in ECE, Child Dev. or closely related field & 3 months experience in a licensed preschool or childcare setting. Or Ideal candidate who has worked in a educational environment or closely related field with management experience. Prefer experience with
