The ideal candidate will have a love for working with children and a commitment to fostering their development in a nurturing and educational environment. As a School Age Teacher, you will play a crucial role in facilitating learning experiences and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. Responsibilities Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Engage with children through play, storytelling, and hands-on activities to enhance their learning experience. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of each child's development and behavior. Collaborate with other educators to create an inclusive environment for all children, including those with disabilities. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills. Qualifications Minimum of 6 ECE/Child Development units, preferably 12 units. Previous experience working with children in a preschool, daycare, or nannying capacity is preferred. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create engaging classroom activities that cater to diverse learning styles. A compassionate approach towards caregiving and an understanding of the unique needs of preschool-aged children. Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners.
