In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, from infants to preschoolers, and school age children. Your enthusiasm for working with children and commitment to their development will help foster positive learning experiences and support their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in young lives while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote childhood development, including play, learning, and social interaction Support children with their personal care routines such as diapering, feeding, and hygiene practices, ensuring safety and comfort at all times Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities that encourage curiosity, creativity, and learning Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform teaching strategies and communicate with parents or guardians Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and resolving conflicts with patience and understanding Assist with special education needs or working with children with disabilities to ensure inclusive participation in activities Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education is a plus Strong classroom management skills combined with the ability to foster a caring and inclusive environment Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging effectively with children and families Ability to handle caregiving responsibilities confidently while maintaining a lively, positive attitude Join us as a Daycare Assistant to inspire young minds, support families, and grow your career in early childhood education!
