Preschool Teacher (Completed or Be Enrolled in 6-12 Units of ECE Required)

Preschool Teacher Qualifications:

• Must have completed or be enrolled in 6-12 units of Early Childhood Education (including Child or Human Development, Child, Family & Community, Program Curriculum, and Infant & Toddler Caregiving)
• LiveScan fingerprinting/background check clearance upon hire
• Hold or be willing to obtain/update a current CPR/First Aid certification, Mandated Reporter AB 1207 certification, along with other required trainings
• TB clearance and physical health screening upon hire, plus the ability to provide proof of immunization against pertussis and measles (TDap & MMR)
• Ability to safely lift at least 30 lbs. multiple times throughout the day, kneel/sit on the floor throughout the day, and safely reach a child that is 20-30 feet away within 30 seconds, among other essential functions
• Previous experience working in a licensed child care facility is preferred, but not required

Preschool Teacher Duties:

• Provide a nurturing environment for all the children in our care
• Ensure all licensing guidelines and regulations are met to ensure the health and safety of all children
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Collaborate with a hard working team of teachers and directors
• Effectively communicate with children and their families, as well as other ACC staff
