In this dynamic role, you will create engaging musical experiences that foster creativity, social-emotional growth, and foundational literacy skills. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate music curricula that align with early childhood education standards and incorporate elements of literacy, physical education, and social skills. Lead lively group music sessions that include singing, instrument playing, movement activities, and rhythm exercises tailored to preschoolers' developmental stages. Integrate music-based activities into daily lesson plans to support overall childhood development, including language acquisition, motor skills, and behavior management. Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff to adapt lessons for children with diverse needs, including those requiring early intervention or special education accommodations. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere by managing behavior through engaging musical activities that promote cooperation, attention, and emotional regulation. Maintain a safe and nurturing environment by adhering to childcare regulations and best practices in toddler care and preschool classroom management. Document student progress through observations and assessments, providing feedback to parents and team members on each child's musical engagement and developmental milestones. Requirements Proven experience in early childhood education or preschool classroom settings with a strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers, with a focus on fostering creativity through music. Knowledge of special education principles, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques to support diverse learners. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external specialists while promoting a positive learning environment. Experience in classroom management, childcare practices, and maintaining a safe space for young children. Ability to incorporate standardized testing insights into lesson adjustments when applicable. Passion for teaching physical education through movement-based musical activities that enhance motor skills. Certification in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable; ongoing professional development in literacy education, math integration, or toddler care is a plus.
