Part-Time Primary Grade Teacher The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles (LA Catholics) - 3.5 Compton, CA Job Details Part-time 10 hours ago Qualifications School experience Bachelor's degree Working with students Teaching experience with young children Full Job Description Our Lady of Victory Catholic School is seeking a dedicated, joyful, and faith-filled primary grade teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will be responsible for creating a warm, nurturing, and structured classroom environment that fosters early learning and faith formation. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for early childhood education and a collaborative spirit, working closely with colleagues and families to support each child's academic, spiritual, social, and emotional growth. Our Lady of Victory Catholic School is proud to be part of the Solidarity Initiative, a network of Catholic schools focused on academic excellence and student achievement in reading and mathematics through the implementation of the Success for All program. Requirements Responsibilities Implement the school's adopted curriculum with fidelity to build foundational skills in early literacy, numeracy, social studies, science, art, and religion Integrate play-based, hands-on, and multi-sensory learning experiences into daily instruction Foster positive relationships with students and their families Differentiate instruction to meet a range of readiness levels and learning styles Use ongoing assessments to monitor student growth and inform instruction Maintain a safe, joyful, and faith-centered classroom environment Collaborate with fellow primary-level educators to ensure alignment and support Communicate clearly and consistently with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities Incorporate technology in a developmentally appropriate manner to support learning Track and analyze student progress using a variety of assessment tools and adjust instruction accordingly Work collaboratively with the primary grade team to facilitate meaningful, student-centered learning experiences Participate in other duties as assigned by the principal Qualifications Candidates should: Have at least 3 years of early childhood teaching experience, preferably in a Catholic school setting Hold a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree and/or ECE units strongly preferred) Hold or be working toward a California Teaching Credential and/or ECE Certification Demonstrate a strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices Be enthusiastic about Catholic education and committed to nurturing the faith life of young learners Bring a collaborative, flexible, and energetic spirit to their work Be highly organized, dependable, and proactive in communication Preferred Qualifications Catechetical Certification (or currently in progress) Successful for All training or willing to learn Information/Application Contact Please send a cover letter and resume to: Mrs. Yvonne Wilcox, Principal Wage Range The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
