- Candidates must have a minimum of 12 ECE qualified units per title 22 regulations.
Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum development best practices. Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that promotes active learning, curiosity, and independence among children. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support literacy education, math skills, physical development, and social-emotional learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to foster respect and cooperation. Collaborate with families to share progress, address concerns, and support each child's individual needs through regular communication. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs. Maintain accurate records of children's developmental progress, attendance, and assessments including standardized testing when applicable. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies such as Montessori or other child-centered approaches. Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings with classroom management expertise. Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and other core subjects. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and families. Familiarity with behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions. Experience with classroom experience including toddler care or preschool experience is highly desirable.
