Job Description
Job details We are seeking a full-time (30-40hrs/week) teacher to lead our infant classroom. Business hours are Mon-Fri 7:45am-5:15pm. Prerequisites 12 core semester units in early childhood education Minimum 3 semester units related to infant care 6 months of experience with children under the age of 5 OR 3 completed semester units of early childhood education 3 completed semester units of infant care Enrolled in at least 2 semester units until fully qualified Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration. Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children's natural curiosity. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support a collaborative learning community. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students. Organize activities that enhance physical, emotional, and social skills in alignment with developmental milestones. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that meets health and safety standards. Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and improve teaching strategies. Skills Experience in a classroom or daycare setting preferred. Knowledge of infant care, toddler care, or babysitting is beneficial for understanding the developmental needs of young children. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus, ensuring an inclusive environment for all students. Strong behavior management skills to effectively guide children's interactions and learning experiences. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence in lesson planning and execution. A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth through creative teaching methods.
