MONDAY-FRIDAY 8
30am-4:00pm Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, engaging, and supportive environment for young learners. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to implement educational activities, manage classroom routines, and support children's social and emotional development. Your energy and compassion will inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning in preschoolers, setting the foundation for their future academic success. Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy, math, science, art, and play-based activities aligned with curriculum standards such as Montessori or other early childhood frameworks Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior, implementing behavior management strategies, and maintaining a safe and organized learning environment Engage children in activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and early childhood development milestones Provide attentive toddler care and support children with special needs or disabilities, including working with children on the autism spectrum or with other developmental challenges Help supervise daily routines such as snack time, outdoor play, nap times, and transitions between activities Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise during the day Collaborate with team members to develop curriculum materials focused on literacy education, numeracy skills like basic math concepts, and overall classroom enrichment Skills Minimum of 6 child development units Experience working with children in daycare settings or private preschools
