This position is ideal for an experienced educator who loves working with young children, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys supporting the full preschool program across age groups. Position Overview This role serves as a Preschool Float Teacher, supporting multiple classrooms throughout the day. The Preschool Float Teacher must be comfortable working with all age groups ranging from 3 months to 5 years old, providing classroom coverage, breaks, and substitutions as needed while maintaining a warm, safe, and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities Provide classroom support across multiple age groups (Infant through Pre-K) Step into classrooms as a teacher, cover during breaks, absences, or coverage needs Foster a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for all children Maintain classroom safety, supervision, and positive guidance practices Build respectful and supportive relationships with children, families, and staff Follow state licensing regulations and school policies Support daily routines, including transitions, meals, rest, and end-of-day closing procedures Qualifications Minimum of 12 core Child Development units Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a preschool or early childhood setting Experience working with multiple age groups preferred Strong classroom management and positive guidance skills Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented Passion for early childhood education and child development Why Join St. Andrew's Day School?
