The Opportunity:
Environments For Learning, Inc. has been in our community for over 36 years and includes AppleTree Montessori, Montessori on the Lake, and Sunflower Montessori. We offer a quality learning environment based on the Montessori philosophy. We are currently looking to hire assistant teachers to work in our preschool classrooms at our beautiful lakeside location, Montessori on the Lake. Gain hands-on experience in a Montessori classroom with opportunities for professional development and career growth Opportunities for ECE tuition reimbursement and Montessori training sponsorship A professional, yet casual work environment and family atmosphere in an inspiring lakeside setting How you'll contribute and make a difference: Support the lead Montessori teacher and work under the teacher's direction to ensure a healthy, safe, nurturing learning environment that addresses and advocates for each student's needs Supervise children in the classrooms and on the playgrounds Ensure the health and safety of the children by implementing classroom and playground safety rules Model and aid in teaching appropriate behavior and social skills ​Provide personal aid and care to students as necessary, such as help with hygiene, eating, diapering, or toileting Be familiar with and follow California Community Care Licensing Title 22 regulations Prepare projects for the children and gather the necessary supplies Assist with room arrangements and maintain a clean and orderly environment Clean classroom shelves, tables, materials, and surfaces regularly Supervise daycare activities What you'll need to succeed: High school diploma (or equivalent) 12 ECE units (minimum requirement) or 6 ECE units with current enrollment Availability and eligibility to work full time, 9-6 Monday-Friday Outstanding communication and organizational skills Ability to interface with parents as directed by the lead teacher Ability to work collaboratively to maintain a harmonious team environment Bonus points for: Previous experience working with children Knowledge of the Montessori philosophy CPR certification Be part of a diverse, compassionate community that celebrates each child's unique potential!
