Job Description

Overview Join us in creating healthy environments as a Preschool Homeroom Teacher, where your passion for early childhood education will inspire young minds and foster a love of learning. This is a full-time on-site Preschool Teacher role located in Los Gatos, CA at Bamrec. The Preschool Teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, curriculum development, early childhood education, communication, and kindergarten activities.
Duties Curriculum Planning:
Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that align with BAMREC Preschool's curriculum and educational goals. These plans should focus on fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young learners.
Continuing Education:
Stay informed about the latest trends, research, and methodologies in early childhood education to continuously improve the quality of teaching and learning at the preschool.
Classroom Management:
Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel comfortable to explore, learn, and express themselves. Ensure that the classroom setup is organized and conducive to learning.
Teaching and Instruction:
Facilitate engaging and interactive learning experiences for the children. Use a variety of teaching methods, materials, and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
Child Development Assessment:
Regularly observe and assess each child's progress and development. Keep detailed records of their milestones and learning achievements. Provide feedback to parents/guardians on their child's growth.
Social and Emotional Support :
Help children develop social skills, emotional intelligence, and self-regulation. Encourage positive peer interactions and address any behavioral challenges with patience and understanding.
Parent Communication:
Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians. Provide regular updates on their child's activities, progress, and any areas that may require attention. Provide excellent customer service, following Bamrec Standards.
Health and Safety:
Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times. Adhere to health and safety regulations and protocols, including supervising outdoor play and implementing hygiene practices. Change diapers and help students who do not know how to clean themselves when and after using the restroom.
Creativity and Play:
Foster creativity and imaginative play through various art projects, music, storytelling, and other creative activities that promote self-expression.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment for all students. Attend and participate in meetings and trainings designed to improve BAMREC Preschool performance.
Professional Development:
Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education. Be willing to take on challenges that will further develop your professional experience.
Cultural Sensitivity:
Embrace and respect the diverse cultural backgrounds of the children and families attending BAMREC Preschool. Qualifications Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development skills Bilingual in English and Arabic is preferred . Early Childhood Education and Kindergarten experience Strong communication skills Previous experience working with children Knowledge of child development and positive reinforcement techniques Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
