At the Sonoma County Family YMCA, we're more than a workplace—we're a community committed to strengthening lives. As an Assistant Site Director in our ASES (After School Education & Safety) Program, you'll play a key leadership role in supporting youth development, academic enrichment, and a safe, engaging after-school environment. Position Summary Under the direction of the Site Director, the Assistant Site Director supports the daily operations of the ASES program, including program planning, staff supervision, and student engagement. This role helps ensure a high-quality after-school experience that meets California state guidelines and YMCA standards. Key Responsibilities Support program planning and deliver a well-rounded academic enrichment curriculum Assist with supervision, scheduling, and development of program staff Step in for the Site Director as needed Maintain student records, attendance, and required documentation Ensure the safety and well-being of all children and staff Build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and the community Lead or support staff meetings, trainings, and evaluations Assist with snack distribution and program logistics Uphold YMCA policies, procedures, and code of conduct What We're Looking For Associate degree in education, child development, psychology, or related field OR equivalent experience 1-2 years of experience in youth programs, education, or childcare leadership preferred Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to support student learning in reading and math DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance required to include sex offender screening Benefits & Perks Flexible scheduling Free YMCA membership & program discounts Free child care (for eligible programs) Paid sick time & floating holidays Employee wellness programs & assistance resources Paid CPR/First Aid certification Retirement contribution (10%) Ongoing training & career development Apply Today!
