Role:
Sacramento Montessori is looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Preschool Floater to join our passionate team of early childhood educators in Sacramento, CA. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact across multiple classrooms while supporting the growth and development of young learners in a nurturing Montessori environment.
Responsibilities:
Float between preschool classrooms to provide support to lead teachers and assistants as needed Supervise and engage with children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and transitions Assist in implementing Montessori-based curriculum and age-appropriate learning activities Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment Support children's social-emotional development and positive behavior guidance Assist with daily routines including snack time, rest time, and personal care Communicate effectively with lead teachers, staff, and families
Requirements:
Experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or early education setting Familiarity with Montessori philosophy or early childhood education principles is a plus Flexibility and ability to adapt quickly across multiple classroom environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must meet California Title 22 requirements, including applicable health and safety clearances Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Patience, reliability, and a genuine passion for child development Has 12 ECE units
