Pacific Coast Church (PCC) in San Clemente is a fairly new preschool and currently in need of a two-year-old/ young three-year-old teacher for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. We are a non-denomination Christian preschool seeking early childcare professionals who are flexible, knowledgeable, joyful, and have a love for the Lord. We strive to meet the needs of the individual child in a playful manner while also preparing them to be life long learners. In this role, you will collaborate closely with other teachers to create a warm, engaging, and educational environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and joy. Your passion for working with children and your expertise in early childhood development will inspire young learners to explore, discover, and thrive. Duties Assist in developing and implementing dynamic curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to foster holistic development. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive, safe, and inclusive environment conducive to learning and social interaction. Engage actively with children through play-based activities, behavioral management strategies, and early intervention techniques to support individual needs. Collaborate with lead teachers to prepare lesson plans aligned with childhood development standards and standardized testing requirements. Provide attentive toddler care by monitoring health, safety, and welfare needs while encouraging independence and social skills. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure clarity around daily activities, progress updates, and behavioral expectations. Assist in classroom organization, including lesson setup, materials preparation, and maintaining a clean learning environment. Be able to present Bible stories and Biblical truths to the children Qualifications A joyful and flexible attitude that encourages children to feel safe and encourages them to know that they are loved by a might God Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development milestones, and behavior management techniques Experience with curriculum development Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Comfortable with talking and partnering with parents Familiarity with classroom management strategies 12 core ECE units finished, or working on it Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
