In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curricula rooted in Montessori principles, and foster a nurturing environment that promotes holistic childhood development. Your expertise will inspire young learners, and support their social-emotional growth. We are looking for a Guide who is passionate about the Montessori method and committed to fostering independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Duties Instruction:
Implement the Montessori curriculum, fostering self-directed learning, exploration, and discovery through hands-on activities in language, math, science, and culture. Social•emotional development: Support the normalization of the child by utilizing positive redirection and restorative practices, ensuring a social-emotional climate where independence and empathy flourish.
Early Learning :
Support early intervention efforts by identifying children's developmental needs and working with specialists when necessary.
Curriculum & Planning:
Plan monthly units of study, including daily lessons, corresponding enrichment projects, and curating engaging shelf work that aligns with the unit's theme.
Classroom Aesthetics:
Maintain a monthly bulletin board plan that reflects current areas of study and student work.
Observation & Assessment:
Observe and document children's individual growth and development to tailor their learning path.
Parent Partnership:
Act as a bridge between school and home. Communicate student progress, answer messages in a timely manner, and facilitate in-person meetings as needed.
Professionalism:
Stay up-to-date on Montessori best practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
Collaboration:
Cultivate a seamless professional partnership with the co-teacher and school staff through regular communication and shared reflection, ensuring a unified and supportive team dynamic.
Qualifications Certification:
Primary Montessori Certification (AMS, AMI NAMC).
Experience:
Previous experience working as a Lead Montessori Teacher in a primary classroom.
Education:
A minimum of 12 core ECE units from an accredited institution.
Compliance:
Up-to-date Mandated Reporter, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a positive, inclusive environment.
Spirit:
Warmth, patience, and a genuine love for supporting the development of young children.
Schedule & Compensation:
Hours:
7:30 AM•3:30 PM (40 hours per week).
Start Date:
June 5th, 2026.
Salary:
$50,000•$51,000 per year.
